Product Description:
The 07.F5.B1B-380A is an AC axis drive module produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. In an automation cell, it functions as a variable-frequency inverter that modulates three-phase motor voltage to control speed and torque without mechanical gear changes. The unit supports open-loop flux vector regulation, making it suitable for conveyors, packaging machines, and general motion axes that do not require encoder feedback. Its sensorless control arrangement reduces the need for external feedback wiring while retaining regulated motor operation.
Within the B-size housing, power enters through a 400 V AC/DC mains connection on a three-phase network, while the control electronics receive power from an isolated 24 V DC internal supply. The inverter output switches at a 2 kHz carrier frequency, and the integrated GTR 7 brake chopper works with the factory-installed braking transistor to protect against regenerative overvoltage. The drive provides 17 control terminals that use PNP logic; five accept digital input signals, while separate channels support one analog input and one analog output. Two relay outputs are available for field interlocking. An encoder interface is omitted because the device is intended for sensorless operation.
The drive exchanges process data on a 2 ms scan cycle, allowing it to react quickly to setpoint changes. It can deliver a short-term current of 180% of its rated current, providing additional output during brief acceleration or load changes. Overcurrent protection trips at 216% of the rated current to protect the drive and connected wiring from excessive current. Fault and status conditions can be signaled through two relay contacts rated for 30 VDC at 1 A, while real-time values can be read through the dedicated analog output. When its normal analog function is not required, the available analog channel can be reassigned for reference scaling without adding external wiring.
