Product Description:
The 07.F5.B0A-KA0A is an axis drive unit manufactured by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It regulates induction or synchronous motors in industrial automation lines where coordinated speed and torque control are required. Within a cabinet, the drive operates as the central power stage, receiving reference signals from a PLC and producing a variable-frequency output. The unit uses open-loop flux-vector control to regulate motor operation without relying on position or speed feedback from an encoder.
An analog input accepts a range of 0 to ±10 V and converts the signal with a resolution of 11 bits, allowing external controllers to send proportional speed commands. The digital input block uses PNP logic and provides 5 optically isolated channels for start, stop, and preset selection. All process signals are updated every 2 ms, keeping the control response synchronized with fast machine cycles. Internal electronics operate from a stabilized 24 V DC supply rail generated inside the drive, so the logic section does not require an auxiliary supply. The BASIC control type uses open-loop algorithms and is suitable for applications that do not require closed-loop speed accuracy.
Field wiring connects through 17 control terminals, including one analog output for process feedback or follower drives. This output provides either 0 to 10 V or ±10 V signals and uses an 11-bit converter from the same converter family as the analog input. Two form-C relays rated at 30 V DC / 1 A are available for drive-ready and fault signals. The housing uses form factor code A, and airflow through the unit removes heat without requiring an external fan. A varnished finish protects the housing surfaces during operation in an industrial cabinet. No encoder interface is installed, leaving the related connection unused during sensorless motor control.
