Product Description:
The 07.F5.A3D-3BHA is an axis drive manufactured by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Positioned between the plant mains and a rotating load, this unit converts fixed-frequency supply power into variable voltage and frequency outputs so connected motors can follow digital speed or torque commands. By integrating dedicated motor feedback channels and protective hardware, the drive supports coordinated motion sequences in conveyors, unwinders, and multi-axis production cells.
The power stage is designed for a supply of 400 V AC/DC drawn from 3 input phases. That arrangement balances current flow across the line and helps reduce harmonic distortion during normal operation. A Standard Board control card hosts the processor, I/O terminals, and fieldbus sockets, letting the drive execute closed-loop regulation without external auxiliary modules. Pulse-width modulation is generated at a switching frequency of 16 kHz, which reduces audible motor noise and limits current ripple near operators or sensitive instrumentation.
Short production bursts can demand high torque, so the inverter permits a current surge up to 180% of its rated value. An electronic trip intervenes at 216% to prevent semiconductor damage if demand rises too far. Position feedback versatility comes from a dual-mode interface that accepts a Resolver and incremental input, allowing the same drive to run different motor types without rewiring. For braking energy and conducted emissions, the housing already carries a Braking transistor and EMI filter, which reduces panel space and simplifies retrofit layouts.
