The 05.F5.C1B-2B0A axis drive is produced by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. The unit functions as a speed and torque controller for small AC motors used in conveyors, pumps, or positioning modules inside automated machinery. By converting fixed line power to a variable output, the drive enables closed-loop regulation and includes built-in braking transistor support for regenerated energy. This places the device between higher-level control systems and the motor load while allowing the drive to respond quickly to changing operating conditions.
Electrically, the drive is supplied at 230 V AC, and it delivers a continuous shaft power of 0.37 kW. Under nominal conditions, the inverter outputs 2.3 A, and during short transients it can furnish up to 5 A for accelerating inertia or overcoming load spikes. The internal IGBT bridge supports a carrier frequency selectable to 16 kHz, which helps smooth motor current and reduce audible noise.
