It regulates the speed and torque of small AC motors in automated machinery by converting single-phase mains power into a controlled three-phase output for vector or V/Hz control. This makes the unit suitable for compact machine axes that need adjustable motor operation from a simple supply arrangement. An encoder feedback card is not fitted, so the drive relies on sensorless speed estimation during operation.
The drive accepts a 1-Ph 230 VAC/DC input supply, allowing direct connection to common single-phase outlets. The rated input current is 4.6 A at nominal load, and the output current is limited to 2.3 A to help protect connected motor windings from excessive heating. The unit delivers up to 0.9 kVA, which suits induction motors up to 0.37 kW while accounting for conversion losses. Its internal IGBT bridge switches at 4 kHz to balance output waveform quality and thermal load in the power stage. For brief overload events, the controller can supply up to 216% of rated current, and an overcurrent trip responds if current rises to 5 A. A separate short-time current limit of 180% also supports moderate acceleration and deceleration without immediately triggering the main fault circuit.
