The 05.F5.B1B-3B0A is an axis drive manufactured by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. As a closed-loop inverter, it supplies controlled three-phase power to small induction or synchronous machines in production cells, packaging lines, and similar automation applications. By adjusting voltage, current, and frequency, the unit regulates motor speed and torque so that connected equipment can follow programmed motion profiles.
On the line side, the drive accepts a three-phase supply of 400 VAC/DC and draws a continuous input current of 1.8 A, while the output stage delivers a nominal current of 1.3 A and 0.9 kVA of apparent power to the motor terminals. The internal IGBT bridge switches at 16 kHz, which reduces audible noise and improves current waveform quality. Frequency modulation ranges from the minimum 6 Hz required for full-load torque up to 1600 Hz, allowing the drive to run high-speed spindles when needed. Thermal and electrical protection is supported by an integrated braking transistor, a maximum motor rating of 0.37 kW, and a heat sink sensor that limits operation when its aluminum base reaches 90 °C.
