Product Description:
The 05.F5.S1A-ZE01 is an axis drive module manufactured by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It regulates synchronous and induction motors in automated machinery. The unit forms a compact control layer that manages torque and speed through integrated power electronics and feedback processing.
The drive operates from an input of 230 V AC/DC and uses closed-loop field-oriented control to execute motor vectors. This control method relies on resolver feedback and two dedicated encoder channels for precise rotor-position data. A single differential analog input is digitized at 11-bit resolution, while one analog output sends processed set points to external instruments. Five digital inputs and two digital outputs handle discrete machine states, and the internal braking transistor dissipates regenerated energy. Control cycles refresh every 250 µs, allowing tight speed tracking under changing loads. The electronics are housed in an IP20 enclosure intended for cabinet installation with adequate airflow. The transistor-driven outputs have a total source capability of 50 mA, which is suitable for optocouplers or relay pilot circuits.
The drive provides 17 control terminals for connecting logic, encoder, and power signals. Its housing measures 76 mm wide, 191 mm high, and 144 mm deep, matching the series' form factor code A. The narrow housing conserves lateral cabinet space while leaving room for the required control connections. A resolver and an incremental sensor can be connected simultaneously, supporting redundant feedback arrangements or dual-loop control. The analog connections can interface with proportional valves or process transducers, while the digital inputs can trigger preset speed selections. The digital outputs report drive status to safety relays or PLC inputs for coordinated machine control.
