Product Description:
The 05.F5.G1B-2B00 is an axis drive module manufactured by KEB for integration into the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It regulates the speed and torque of small AC motors used in conveyors, pumps, and positioning systems, allowing these loads to follow commands from a PLC without mechanical throttling. The unit uses housing form factor code B and a standard cooling arrangement that releases heat directly into the cabinet air. Its compact housing is intended for installation inside a control cabinet and allows access to the electrical connections during system assembly.
The drive provides a continuous motor output of 0.37 kW at a rated current of 2.3 A. It accepts a single-phase or three-phase 230 V AC/DC supply, allowing connection to several common industrial power configurations. The power stage switches current at 16 kHz, which reduces audible motor noise and supports smooth torque delivery at low speeds. An IP20 enclosure protects against incidental contact with internal components while permitting installation in a protected cabinet. Open-loop flux vector control supports accurate motor regulation without feedback, while closed-loop operation requires a compatible external feedback board. The electronics are supplied without an encoder card, so applications requiring position feedback must use the appropriate optional interface.
The drive supplies a maximum current of 180% of the rated current for short periods to accommodate temporary mechanical overloads. An instantaneous overcurrent trip occurs at 216% of the rated current, preventing excessive current from damaging the motor or power stage. A built-in braking transistor manages regenerated energy during rapid deceleration and helps prevent excessive DC-bus voltage. Ground-fault detection stops operation when current leaks to ground through damaged insulation or wiring. The drive also includes short-circuit monitoring, which interrupts operation when a phase-to-phase fault is detected. These protective functions operate with the drive’s programmed current and thermal limits to reduce electrical stress on connected motors and cables.
