Product Description:
The 05.F5.B0A-6900 is an AC axis drive module from KEB in the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It converts single-phase mains power into regulated three-phase output for induction or synchronous motors used in packaging stations, indexing tables, and light conveyors. By modulating voltage and frequency, the drive forms the speed and torque control link between a PLC and the motor, allowing compact machinery to use one module for power conversion and responsive motor control without a separate power stage.
In terms of control connectivity, the drive provides 5 digital inputs, 1 analog input, and 17 control terminals that accept 24 V logic so the host controller can issue run, direction, or preset frequency commands. Two relay outputs supply status signals such as drive-ready or fault to higher-level control circuits. No encoder feedback card is installed at the factory, leaving the option open for incremental or resolver modules when position feedback is required. The compact Housing Type A enclosure is intended for cabinet mounting in space-conscious installations. Protection margins are set by an overcurrent trip of 216%, a short-time current limit of 180%, and a peak current capability of 5 A; continuous operation is rated at 2.3 A. The inverter modulates the output with a carrier of 4 kHz to balance acoustic noise and motor heating.
The drive accepts a single-phase feed within 180–260 V and is optimized for a nominal mains level of 230 V AC, making it suitable for standard utility outlets in many regions. With this input, it delivers a mechanical power rating of 0.37 kW, which suits fractional-horsepower motors used in feeders, small pumps, or augers. Internal logic finishes each cyclic scan in 2 ms, allowing tight following of motion commands issued by the PLC. Fast scan execution helps the drive respond quickly to changing command values during normal operation.
