As part of a multi-axis architecture, it links to PLCs through analog, digital, and encoder channels so that motion commands are executed with millisecond-level latency.
This drive samples command voltages with an 11 bit analog input converter, while feedback to supervisory controllers is issued through a 10 bit analog output channel. Eight opto-isolated digital inputs are scanned every 1 ms, and two transistor outputs share a 50 mA DC budget for fast status indication. For incremental feedback, the unit accepts signals up to 300 kHz over a differential TTL interface on the terminal connector terminated by 150 Ω, and an auxiliary signal bus also uses TTL levels to synchronize external counters.
