The 00.F5.0C0.0001 interface kit is supplied by KEB as a support accessory for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It creates a temporary service link between a PC and the drive control electronics so operating data can be read or written without disconnecting the unit from the machine. In normal use, the kit supports setup and troubleshooting by translating standard computer signals into the low-voltage communication format used by the axis drive. Because the connection is temporary, it can be attached when access is needed and removed after the data exchange is complete. This allows the main installation to remain intact while still providing direct communication with stored drive information.
The kit centers on an HSP5 adapter that mates with the drive header, and an HSP5 special cable carries the data lines and reference connection between the host computer and the device. Its intended path is a PC-to-control-board connection path, so the computer acts as the active station while the drive responds to service requests. Electrical hookup is completed via an adapter, which avoids changes to the original machine wiring. The cable carries the communication lines and reference connection needed for reliable logic-state detection during direct access. Inside the adapter, a RS232-to-TTL level shift and voltage adaptation align serial signals with the 5 V logic domain used by the control board.
