The 00.F5.0C0-0010 is a service interface manufactured by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. The module connects external control equipment to an F5 inverter so a user can upload parameters, read drive data, or perform real-time diagnostics. By matching the electrical format used inside the drive, it removes the need to open the housing, which supports safer routine service in automated production lines.
Communication begins through the bundled HSP5 Service Cable, whose molded plugs mate directly with the drive’s dedicated service ports. On the inverter end, the data path is routed through the diagnostic socket designated X6B, while the PC side uses a standard RJ45 socket built into the interface. An integrated level converter shifts the drive’s TTL logic to the ±12 V signaling required by serial hardware, and an integrated transformer isolates the control lines to support galvanic separation. Voltage adaptation is handled internally, allowing the accessory to accept the supply provided by the inverter without an external power source. Because there is no encoder feedback card inside this unit, it is used only for parameter access through the inverter menu and the detachable operator keypad.
For software interaction, KEB recommends KEB COMBIVIS 5, which links to the interface through the specified COM1 or COM2 ports and recognizes the HSP5 TTL-to-RS232 signal conversion used by the unit. The resulting channel supports diagnostics and programming functions, allowing the PC to read fault histories or rewrite configuration blocks without disturbing field wiring. When local control is preferred, the operator handset can be attached to the dedicated X4A connector, and the accessory continues to adapt signal levels and supply voltage so the drive and PC remain synchronized. This arrangement keeps the service connection separate from the main control wiring and makes temporary access straightforward during setup or troubleshooting.
