The 00.F5.060-5110 is a modular axis drive from KEB that belongs to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. By combining power electronics with an embedded controller, it coordinates multi-axis motion in packaging lines, material-handling systems, and similar installations. Network behavior is set by several communication parameters. Arbitration on the CAN network prioritizes frames with the lowest identifier, ensuring time-critical messages reach the bus first. The device shares the bus in multi-master fashion, so any node can start a transmission once the line is idle without a centralized scheduler. Frame formatting matches the 2.0A format, meaning only 11-bit identifiers are used for compact header overhead. At the application layer, the drive adheres to DS 301 (DS 402) profiles, allowing standardized mapping of process data objects and motion state machines. It supports 2032 individual identifiers that can be assigned to process, service, or diagnostic messages. The identifier scheme also separates routine control traffic from alarms and service communication.
These communication rules connect to the physical layer through a 9-pole D-Sub connector, while field wiring can be paralleled on an optional plug-in terminal strip for daisy-chain layouts. This gives the installation more than one connection method without changing the communication standard used by the drive. Message numbers span 0...2031, matching the reserved table and giving a contiguous range for node guarding, synchronous cyclic traffic, and emergency objects.
