The 00.F5.060-4001 is a fieldbus interface module produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Installed in an inverter rack, the board lets the drive exchange cyclic data with higher-level controllers so motion commands and status words move across a plant network without extra gateways. By providing direct InterBus connectivity, it extends the inverter’s use in distributed industrial automation architectures where synchronous axis coordination is needed.
The module communicates over a bus that runs at 2 MBaud on the RS485 physical layer, aligning with InterBus timing requirements for deterministic telegram delivery. Its network side supports one logical data channel, with Communication Words set to 1 and Max Client and Max Server Services set to 1 each. The electrical I/O follows the InterBus Remote IN/OUT profile and carries an Ib-ID-code of 227 so the segment master can identify the device during startup. A galvanic separation barrier rated at 500 VDC protects the control electronics from field potentials, while telegram buffers of 64 bytes for both request and response data and for indication and confirmation PDUs handle user data. The assembly can operate in ambient temperatures up to 45 °C when it is powered from the inverter’s internal supply rails.
Operational continuity is maintained down to -10 °C, allowing cabinet installation in unheated production areas. Bus cabling enters through a SUB-MIN 9-Pole Male, DIN 41652-1 connector and exits on a daisy-chain SUB-MIN 9-Pole Female, DIN 41652-1 port, preserving ring topology without external adapters. Local diagnostics and setup are accessed with an HSP5 Adapter service interface, which bypasses the fieldbus for direct access. Because the card draws its logic power through the inverter, no separate auxiliary supply is required.
