Product Description:
The 00.F5.060-3000 communication option is produced by KEB and belongs to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Mounted in an F5 inverter, the board supplies a bus interface that allows the drive to join a controller-managed network and exchange real-time motion commands as well as parameter data with higher-level automation systems. By operating as a slave on the Profibus segment, it places axis status, fault codes, and setpoints directly at the PLC, a function that streamlines multi-axis coordination on production machinery.
Data transfer follows the PROFIBUS-DP protocol over the RS485 physical layer, and transmission speeds are selectable up to 12.5 MBaud. A single segment can accommodate up to 32 devices before a repeater is needed. Electrical connection is provided by a 9-pin D-Sub socket, while cyclic process exchange uses a 4 bytes input image paired with an equal-sized output image for time-critical control words. The HSP5 diagnostic port delivers 6-byte diagnostic blocks without disturbing the process channel. Parameter handling is mapped to an 8-byte channel whose payload length is 7 bytes, giving the host access to configuration registers, scaling factors, and calibration values.
The board carries 2 identical bus connectors to support daisy-chain wiring, and an integrated network resistor lets the specified 150 Ω termination be engaged when the module closes the segment. Each cyclic frame can transport up to 12 bytes of default user data, a capacity adequate for typical torque, speed, and status words. The Ident number EB05h enables automatic device recognition during bus startup, and the design omits an encoder feedback card so any position feedback must be supplied externally. Remaining functions include a 7-byte parameter data field, a 6-byte diagnostic record, and the ability to support 32 nodes, all aligned with the Combivert F5 memory map.
