Product Description:
The 00.F5.060-2029 interface module is produced by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It mounts on the drive’s front panel and works as a combined keypad, display, and communications hub so technicians can configure, monitor, and troubleshoot axis performance within automated machinery. By centralizing these functions, the board eliminates the need for external terminals when commissioning or servicing a motion system.
The communication side is handled through a 9-Pole Sub-D connector that maps RS-232 and RS-485 lines onto dedicated contacts; pins 2 and 3 carry the RS-232 channel, pins 4 and 5 receive RS-485 data, pins 8 and 9 transmit it, and pin 7 serves as the data-ground reference. An auxiliary signal line delivers a TTL level output when the controller requires a fast, logic-compatible status pulse. The diagnostic pathway is accessed through the HSP5 service port labeled X6B, allowing maintenance tools to extract error codes without removing the drive from its cabinet. Five-digit status information appears on an LED display, and the segment driver draws no more than 10 mA, which limits heat build-up inside the enclosure.
A double function keypad provides stepwise increments for tuning parameters as well as direct numeric entry for rapid setup. A UVW interface passes incremental encoder tracks to the drive so shaft position stays synchronized with the control loop. All serial traffic is multiplexed over a RS232/RS485 interface presented at connector X6C, letting installers select either protocol through software. The logic circuitry draws power from a +5 VDC supply rail, and internal regulation supports the indicator and communication drivers while respecting noise limits of adjacent electronics. With these resources, the board completes field commissioning, status reporting, and feedback forwarding in one compact module.
