Product Description:
The 00.F5.060-M100 is an axis drive module manufactured by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, the unit serves as the power and control stage for a single servo or induction motor, converting fixed-frequency line power into variable output that aligns motor speed and torque with machine commands. By integrating motion control and field networking in one enclosure, the drive simplifies wiring and allows tight synchronization of conveyors, gantries, and rotary stations in industrial automation.
Communication hardware on the drive is organized around an RJ45 connector block that carries network signals. The drive provides two Ethernet ports, allowing controllers to connect multiple axes in a daisy chain without external switches while maintaining deterministic communication on the plant network. Both ports support EtherNet/IP, so cyclic I/O, explicit messages, and vendor-specific objects can be exchanged at line rate. An integrated EMI filter and power factor control stage suppresses conducted noise and keeps the displacement factor near unity, reducing upstream loading on switchgear. The drive is supplied with no encoder feedback card, so an external controller must process incremental or absolute encoder signals when motion feedback is required.
As a member of the Combivert F5 platform, the drive uses a parameter structure and I/O mapping that are consistent with other axis modules, supporting uniform system configuration. Maintenance access is provided through the HSP5 Adapter, a clip-on service device that opens a dedicated channel for oscilloscope traces, parameter cloning, and bootloader updates. This channel is reserved for diagnostic and service use, preventing accidental interaction with real-time motion data during normal operation.
