The 00.F5.060-8000 is an Ethernet communication board manufactured by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Installed inside the inverter housing, the module provides the physical and protocol layers that allow a drive to exchange status data and receive motion commands across a plant network. By integrating the interface directly on the axis drive, the design reduces external gateway wiring and supports straightforward setup in industrial automation lines that rely on TCP-based diagnostics and control. Because the board is mounted inside the drive, network access is added without requiring a separate communications enclosure.
The module uses a RJ45 connector pair that follows the twisted-pair requirements of IEEE 802.3 10Base-T. Each port supports a continuous throughput of 10 Mbaud, and telegrams use DIN66019II framing so start, stop, and parity bits remain predictable for the drive CPU. Operation is supported between -10 to 45 °C, which matches the thermal limits of the surrounding inverter compartment. Its pluggable design allows the board to be inserted or removed without tools, and the logic supply is taken directly from the inverter, so no auxiliary power feed is required. The unit is supplied without an encoder feedback card, leaving that slot available for a separate option if needed.
For network addressing, the board listens on data socket 8000 and provides a built-in web page through port 80 for quick parameter review. Two physical Ethernet jacks create a daisy-chain topology, so the active port count is 2 and adjacent devices can be linked without a separate switch port at every drive. When local cloning or software updates are needed, connection is made through the dedicated HSP5 Adapter service interface, which operates independently of field traffic. This separate service path allows local access while normal network communication remains isolated from the service connection.
