Product Description:
The 00.F5.060-200C axis drive module is produced by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It regulates torque and speed on a single motor axis inside automated machinery, linking power electronics with motion control commands delivered by a higher-level PLC or motion controller. Within an automation cell, the unit functions as the link between the plant’s fieldbus, the power stage, and the motor winding, allowing precise axis control without a separate panel-mounted drive chassis. This arrangement supports compact machine layouts where centralized cabinet space is limited.
The control electronics draw +5 V from a back-plane rail and consume at most 10 mA, minimizing shared supply loading. Communication with external controllers uses a RS232/485 channel on a Submin-D-9 connector. Transmit and receive lines are fixed, with pins 2 and 3 assigned to RS232 and pins 4, 5, 8, and 9 assigned to RS485, so wiring follows standard layouts. An isolated interface section blocks ground loops when long cables link distributed cabinets. A front display and keyboard allow local setup, and the plug-in format slides directly into the Combivert rack without loose harnesses. A green bus LED offers immediate network status.
For service tasks, the drive exposes the HSP5 diagnostic interface, and drive parameters are accessed with COMBIVIS 5, KEB’s PC-based configuration tool. All user data, including tuning constants and error logs, are stored in nonvolatile memory, so power cycling does not erase the setup. During runtime, a status LED signals detected faults, with the color red used to differentiate it from the green fieldbus indicator. The operator keypad offers six labeled keys, START, STOP, FUNC, SPEED, ENTER, and F/R, allowing manual jogging and direction changes without host commands. Value retention also ensures that any edits made from the panel stay intact after a restart.
