The 16.F4.C1G-3440 is a frequency inverter built by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. As a closed-loop AC drive, it modulates the output voltage and frequency supplied to standard induction motors, allowing speed regulation, torque control, and soft starting in automated machinery and material-handling systems. By converting fixed industrial line power into a variable waveform, the unit helps match motor performance to process demand, reduce mechanical stress during acceleration, and improve energy efficiency in conveyors, pumps, and fans. This makes it suitable for applications that require repeatable motor response during changing loads and frequent start-stop cycles.
The inverter uses a three-phase input of 400 V. At this voltage, it draws a nominal line current of 36.5 A and accepts copper conductors up to 10 mm², helping keep conductor temperature within allowable limits. That input arrangement suits common industrial distribution systems and supports integration into enclosed control cabinets. Internally, the power stage converts that supply into a sinusoidal output rated for 23 kVA, which supports continuous motor operation up to 15 kW without derating. To reduce audible noise and switching losses, the IGBTs switch at a factory-set carrier frequency of 8 kHz.
