Product Description:
The 05.F4.S2C-M220 is a compact frequency inverter manufactured by KEB and assigned to the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It is designed to modulate motor speed in light-duty industrial automation by transforming 1-phase 230 VAC line power into a variable output that matches the torque requirements of small conveyor sections, dosing pumps, or positioning tables.
This unit can drive a motor up to 0.37 kW while supplying a rated output current of 2.3 A. Speed regulation is achieved by changing the output frequency up to 409.58 Hz; carrier pulses are switched as fast as 8 kHz to smooth motor current. During operation the inverter dissipates 35 W of power loss, so enclosure airflow must remove that heat. The drive furnishes a 15 VDC digital I/O supply and a 10 VDC setpoint reference for external potentiometers. A relay contact is available for status signaling and is rated 30 VDC at 1 A. The input side accepts a maximum mains fuse of 10 A to protect the supply wiring, and the output section is dimensioned for 0.9 kVA apparent power. Internally, peak current sensing and voltage control are referenced to a 95 % relative-humidity limit to prevent condensation inside the IP20 housing.
Short-term process surges can be handled with an overload capacity of 200%, letting the inverter deliver up to 4.6 A for acceleration or brief jams before thermal limits intervene. Environmental protection is classified as IP20, meaning live parts must be installed in a panel but no additional gaskets are required against dust. The voltage class is specified at 230 VAC, so the unit ties directly to typical single-phase plant feeders without an isolation transformer. A 15 VDC logic rail keeps the digital inputs referenced even when control power is segmented, and the relay output can interlock external contactors or drive a fault lamp.
