Product Description:
The 12.F0.R31-3478 control cabinet inverter is produced by KEB within the F0 Combivert Control Cabinets series. It houses a prewired power stage and a control section that convert three-phase power for induction or synchronous motors used on conveyors, pumps, and material-handling lines. By integrating power electronics, protective devices, and field-wiring terminals, the cabinet simplifies installation and provides centralized speed regulation for distributed machinery in industrial automation.
The cabinet connects to a three-phase supply at 400 V AC, and its internal bus delivers up to 6.6 kVA of continuous apparent power. Under nominal load, the drive supplies 9.5 A RMS to the motor, supporting medium-frame machines without requiring oversized conductors. Vector modulation can be commanded up to 408 Hz, permitting high-speed spindles or gearless axes to reach their intended operating speeds. When connected to an adequately cooled motor, the system supports an output of 4 kW, while a factory-installed 20 A fuse coordinates with upstream breakers for branch protection. The 10 V and 15 V reference and auxiliary analog rails simplify speed potentiometer wiring and sensor excitation. Open-collector outputs rated for 30 V signal ready or fault states to a connected PLC.
The inverter remains fully rated at ambient temperatures up to +45 °C and can start at -10 °C without auxiliary heating. During full-load service, it dissipates approximately 115 W of heat, so forced-air ventilation within the surrounding enclosure is normally sufficient. The housing carries an IP20 ingress protection rating, providing protection against finger contact with live parts while requiring installation in a clean electrical room. Installations can reach 3000 m above sea level before derating applies. Relative humidity may rise to 95% under noncondensing conditions, which supports operation in a range of controlled industrial environments.
