Product Description:
KEB builds the 12.F0.R13-3429 as part of its F0 Combivert Control Cabinets series. This cabinet is an AC drive package that houses power electronics, control logic, and operator interfaces so a three-phase motor can be started, stopped, and speed-regulated from a single enclosure. In automated lines, the unit is installed between the 400 V mains supply and the machine motor, allowing analog or open-collector commands to control operation instead of switching large currents directly.
The drive is designed for a supply of 400 V. At nominal conditions, the power stage can deliver 9.5 A of output current, enough to support fans, pumps, or conveyor motors without derating. Corresponding apparent power reaches 6.6 kVA, which is useful when matching circuit breakers and upstream contactors. Connected motors may draw up to 4 kW of mechanical power, after which the control software limits torque to protect semiconductors and windings. Thermal energy created by switching and conduction is released as 115 W of heat, so cabinet ventilation must keep air temperature between -10 °C and 45 °C while relative humidity stays below 95%.
Overcurrent events are cleared by a mains fuse rated at 20 A, while the internal control electronics are isolated behind a 0.4 A miniature fuse. Installation is permitted up to 3000 m above sea level; beyond this height, reduced air density can limit cooling and lower dielectric strength. The housing carries an IP20 rating, which prevents finger contact but still requires a closed electrical room for dust and moisture protection. Command inputs include a 10 V reference channel for speed setpoints, a 6 mA reference current option, and open-collector interfaces that tolerate 30 V and 30 mA so PLCs can trigger run, fault reset, or direction changes without additional relays.
