Product Description:
The 12.F0.R11-0000 is a cabinet-mounted motor control unit produced by KEB as part of the F0 Combivert Control Cabinets series. Designed for installation in machinery switchrooms, the unit houses the power electronics required to modulate induction motor speed and torque for automated processes. By consolidating drive, signaling, and protection elements in a single enclosure, it simplifies integration with PLCs and remote I/O in production cells. The arrangement keeps the drive hardware and interface points in one location, which helps the cabinet serve as a central motor-control node for automated equipment.
Electrically, the drive cabinet is fed from a three-phase supply, and accepting 3 line conductors allows balanced loading across the plant mains. Internally, a stabilized control section draws only 30 mA from a logic rail of +15 V, minimizing auxiliary power demand. The power stage delivers a rated output of 6.6 kVA and can supply up to 9.5 A of phase current to the connected motor. Reference commands are handled through a single-ended channel that outputs +10 V at 6 mA, while digital status lines are provided on an open-collector interface limited to 30 V and 30 mA. Field wiring is accommodated by terminals sized for 2.5 mm² conductors, and incoming energy is safeguarded by a 20 A gG mains fuse.
The cabinet releases 115 W of heat during continuous operation, so ventilation must maintain airflow above and below the unit. The inverter can drive loads up to 4 kW without derating, provided ambient altitude remains at or below 3000 m. Its enclosure carries an IP20 rating, giving finger-safe access while requiring installation inside a dust-free panel. KEB prescribes 50 mm side clearance and 100 mm clearance at the top and bottom so heat can leave the enclosure during operation. This layout suits enclosed installations such as conveyors, packaging lines, and pump skids where the cabinet is protected from direct contamination.
