Product Description:
The 12.F0.G86-R009 is an inverter cabinet assembled by KEB as part of the F0 Combivert Control Cabinets series. It supplies variable-frequency power to three-phase motors used in automated material-handling, fluid-moving, and machining installations. Acting as the link between the plant mains and motion controllers, the cabinet regulates voltage and frequency so that process equipment can accelerate, decelerate, or hold speed under PLC command. All power electronics, fuses, and heat sinks are housed in a format intended for mounting inside standard switchgear enclosures. This design provides a pre-wired package that connects directly with low-voltage factory distribution systems.
Electrical performance centers on the cabinet’s 400 V voltage class, which matches common low-voltage networks without isolation transformers. Under continuous load, it delivers 9.5 A of output current, which is suitable for medium-frame conveyor motors. At that current, the inverter supplies 6.6 kVA of apparent power. The PWM stage reaches 408 Hz, helping high-speed spindles stay within their torque band. Three input phases are required, and conductors up to 2.5 mm² terminate on the main block. Branch protection relies on 20 A mains and intermediate fuses, while a 0.4 A time-lag fuse protects the control electronics.
The cabinet supports motors up to 4 kW, covering most secondary drives on a production line. An enclosure rating of IP20 restricts use to clean indoor spaces, but cooling demand remains moderate because only 115 W of heat must be removed at full load. Installers must leave 100 mm above and 50 mm beside the housing to maintain airflow. Operation is allowed up to 3000 m altitude. Above that level, output derates by 1 % per 100 m to control winding temperature. These limits help determine ventilation and loading when the cabinet is mounted on mezzanines or elevated platforms.
