Product Description:
The 10.F0.220-3429 is a drive cabinet supplied by KEB as part of its F0 Combivert Control Cabinets series. This unit combines a rectifier, inverter, and monitoring circuitry so that a single enclosure can convert utility power into a variable-frequency, variable-voltage output for industrial motors. By mounting the cabinet directly in a control panel, the system can provide closed-loop speed or torque control for conveyors, mixers, or pump groups without adding separate power components. It is intended for indoor installations where space is constrained and back-panel wiring is preferred in multi-axis production machinery.
The cabinet connects to a three-phase mains supply rated at 400 V through a 10 A mains fuse and a 0.4 A control-circuit fuse, while a 16 A intermediate-circuit fuse safeguards the DC link. Under nominal conditions it can deliver 4.0 kVA of apparent power and a continuous output current of 5.8 A. The inverter section modulates the DC bus to any frequency up to 408 Hz, enabling operation of high-speed machines as well as standard 50/60 Hz motors. When paired with an appropriate machine load, the cabinet supports a motor rated for 2.2 kW. All field conductors must be at least 1.5 mm² to satisfy thermal limits, and the housing carries a protection rating of IP20 to prevent accidental contact with live parts.
During normal switching at 4 kHz, the power stage dissipates 75 W as heat, so enclosure airflow or external heatsinking must remove this loss to avoid thermal shutdown. The unit can be mounted as high as 3000 m above sea level; beyond that elevation, current derating is required because reduced air density impedes cooling. It tolerates ambient moisture up to 95% relative humidity without condensation, allowing reliable service in humid production areas such as food-processing or textile halls.
