Product Description:
The 09.F0.R21-1288 control cabinet is produced by KEB and belongs to the F0 Combivert Control Cabinets series. It combines a frequency inverter, protective devices, and field wiring terminals in one enclosure, allowing motors and sensors to be connected without assembling separate drive components. Within an automation cell, it regulates three-phase induction or permanent-magnet machines and carries out speed and torque commands from a PLC for conveyors, pumps, or material-handling axes. By combining power electronics and safety components in a pre-wired cabinet, the unit reduces installation work and helps support compliance with common machine-building requirements.
The cabinet’s continuous power channel is rated at 2.8 kVA, so the internal inverter and auxiliary circuits can supply that apparent power to connected loads during normal operation. For short-duration demand, it supports motors up to 1.5 kW without derating. The housing has an IP20 rating, which protects against finger contact while requiring installation inside a closed enclosure that is free of conductive dust. Reliable operation is permitted up to 3000 m above sea level, where reduced air density still allows adequate cooling. Humidity tolerance reaches 95% relative humidity, making the unit suitable for condensation-free tropical workshop conditions.
Airflow space must be maintained around the cabinet so heat can move away from the sink and exhaust path without restriction. KEB requires a front clearance of 50 mm, a side clearance of 50 mm, and a top-to-bottom gap of 100 mm so ambient air can enter at the base and rise through the enclosure. The cabinet must be installed in a vertical orientation so the cooling path works properly and internal components remain exposed to moving air. These spacing requirements help prevent thermal limiting during operation and keep the cabinet ready for continuous use in enclosed machine installations.
