Product Description:
The 09.F0.R21-1278 is a drive-ready control cabinet assembled by KEB within the F0 Combivert Control Cabinets series. The unit houses power electronics that convert single-phase mains power into variable-voltage, variable-frequency output so that asynchronous or synchronous machines can be speed-controlled in small conveyors, pumps, or positioning axes. Integrating the cabinet into an automation line provides a compact package that combines power conversion, protective fusing, and field-wiring terminals without requiring additional enclosure work.
During operation, a control fuse rated at 0.4 A protects the internal logic supply, while the power stage delivers a continuous motor current of 7.0 A. That current corresponds to a steady-state apparent power of 2.8 kVA, matching loads served by the cabinet’s voltage class of 200 V. For acoustic and thermal optimization, the inverter can switch at frequencies up to 16 kHz, allowing quieter motor operation at low speeds. The cabinet accepts a single-phase input, simplifying installation in facilities where only one live line is available. Field terminals accept 2.5 mm² conductors, and the complete assembly weighs 4.0 kg, permitting wall or frame mounting without reinforcement.
Upstream protection is provided by an intermediate fuse rated at 16 A and a mains fuse limit of 20 A; these values coordinate with breaker sizing to clear faults without damaging the drive. The power stage can energize motors with outputs up to 1.5 kW, and DC-bus monitoring trips the drive if the link voltage falls below 250 VDC, preventing uncontrolled restarts. The cabinet maintains full output at mounting altitudes up to 1,000 m and can operate at altitudes up to 3,000 m. Above 1,000 m, the output must be reduced by 1% for each additional 100 m, as indicated by the derating curve. Wiring and enclosure layouts must provide adequate airflow to manage the heat generated at the maximum switching frequency and maintain an acceptable component temperature.
