Product Description:
The 05.F0.R03-1228 belongs to the F0 Combivert Control Cabinets series manufactured by KEB. This cabinet integrates a drive module, line filter, and basic protection hardware so a small-frame variable-frequency inverter can be installed in a machine with minimal external wiring. In plant automation, it is used to modulate the speed of fractional-kilowatt AC motors and provide closed-loop torque control while keeping the power section safely enclosed. By placing these elements in one housing, the cabinet keeps the drive section organized and reduces the amount of separate hardware around the inverter.
The unit accepts a single-phase supply at 50/60 Hz and tolerates a deviation of ±2 Hz, allowing operation on standard utility lines. Internally, it can deliver up to 0.9 kVA of apparent power, corresponding to a continuous output current of 2.3 A. When matched with a motor rated no higher than 0.37 kW, the inverter section provides adequate headroom for acceleration without tripping the upstream 10 A mains fuse. Pulse-width modulation is updated at a maximum switching rate of 4 kHz, and the synthesized output frequency can reach 408 Hz. These values set the switching behavior and upper motor speed range available from the inverter. The design supports conductors down to 1.5 mm² so control and power wiring can share standard industrial terminals.
Mechanically, the cabinet stands 340 mm tall and only 90 mm wide, so it fits inside crowded panels while leaving room for ventilation channels. Its enclosure carries an ingress rating of IP20, which shields the electronics from solid objects but requires installation inside a larger protected housing when dust or moisture is present. Passive cooling and component spacing allow full electrical output up to 3,000 m altitude without derating. The internal layout provides direct access to the terminal strip and leaves a clear path for wiring connections.
