It combines power conversion and basic motor control so that a single-phase utility feed can run a small three-phase induction motor with adjustable speed. Such self-contained units are integrated into conveyors, pumps, and positioning axes where space inside larger control enclosures is limited. Because the cabinet includes the inverter hardware, it can supply variable-frequency output to motors used in light-duty transport and positioning tasks.
Internal electronics run from a dedicated control supply of +15 V DC, separating logic power from the main drive section. The cabinet accepts one input phase and generates three output phases, delivering a rated output current of 2.3 A to the motor. Its power channel is limited to 0.9 kVA, and protection on the DC link is provided by a 6.3 A intermediate fuse; the upstream service should be fitted with a 10 A mains fuse. For fine speed resolution, the inverter can produce fundamental output frequencies up to 408 Hz, while carrier modulation can be raised to 4 kHz to reduce audible noise. All terminations sit on a rack-style housing that slides into multi-axis frames, and the minimum wire size is 1.5 mm² for the stated current range. No cooling fan is installed, so heat is removed by natural convection through the card guides and vent slots.
