The 30.DR.B28-4430 is a three-phase mains input choke produced by KEB for the DR Motor Input Chokes series. Installed between the plant supply and an inverter, this passive component raises network impedance to reduce harmonic currents and damp voltage transients before they reach downstream motor drives. The added line-side inductance stabilizes current flow and minimizes electromagnetic interference in variable-frequency drive systems used in automation cells and other industrial machinery.
This choke is designed for a nominal line voltage of 400 V AC and can carry up to 660 A continuously without saturating its laminated core. Its winding set provides an inductance of 0.045 mH, which limits the rate of current change while keeping copper losses within the intended operating range. The choke has a rated impedance voltage drop of 4 %, providing fault-current limitation and reducing the effect of disturbances from the supply network. Magnetic and copper losses amount to 650 W at the rated load, so the cabinet must provide sufficient airflow to remove the generated heat.
