Product Description:
The 14.DR.B08-1451 is a three-phase line reactor manufactured by KEB for the DR Motor Input Chokes series. Installed between the mains supply and an inverter, the choke introduces controlled impedance that smooths current, reduces harmonics, and protects the drive’s rectifier stage from inrush transients. In automated plants, it can improve power quality and extend converter service life by limiting current peaks associated with rectifier charging. Its passive design requires no control power or programming, making it straightforward to integrate into control cabinets that use compatible KEB drive equipment.
Designed for three-phase distribution systems, the choke supports a rated line voltage of 400 V AC and conducts up to 20 A of continuous current at the drive input. An iron-core winding set provides an inductance of 1.47 mH, establishing enough reactance to attenuate current disturbances without causing an excessive voltage drop during normal operation. The short-circuit voltage is 4%, indicating the portion of the mains voltage developed across the coil at rated current. This value helps determine the reactor’s effect on voltage drop and upstream protective devices. Copper conductors with a cross-sectional area of 4.0 mm² carry the load, while power dissipation is limited to 54 W, allowing fanless operation when the enclosure provides adequate ventilation.
The rectangular housing has a depth of 165 mm, a width of 178 mm, and a height of 95 mm. Its steel baseplate has mounting centers of 166 × 73 mm, and elongated 4.8 × 8 mm slots accept M4 screws while accommodating minor cabinet tolerances. The assembly has a mass of 5.4 kg, allowing it to be secured to a suitable vertical mounting panel without additional supports. These proportions preserve access to the busbar terminals for rigid or flexible conductors and allow space for ventilation around adjacent equipment.
