The 04.91.010-CE07 is a rectifier module manufactured by KEB for the COMBITRON Rectifiers series. Installed between the AC mains and an electromagnetic brake or clutch, it converts line voltage to direct current so that motion elements can be held or released in a controlled manner inside automated machinery. By providing a stable DC supply to the magnet coil, the unit prevents chattering and allows rapid decoupling when control logic removes power.

Electrically, the rectifier can be connected to supplies rated at CE 500 VAC – UL 240 VAC and uses a Half Wave circuit that conducts one half-cycle of the sine wave to the load while blocking the opposite alternation. Under nominal operation it delivers 180 VDC with a continuous output capability of 1.2 A, matching common 180-volt brake coils. Circuit protection is provided externally by a 5 A fuse that disconnects the feed if excessive current is drawn. The design also supports DC contact switching, so when the supply contact opens, the magnetic field collapses rapidly through an internal suppression network, shortening release times and limiting voltage spikes on adjacent control electronics.

The enclosure measures 46 mm wide, 28 mm high, and 18 mm deep, conserving panel depth in densely populated control cabinets. Two mounting slots spaced at 38 mm align with standard rail patterns, and the climatic category 3K3 allows operation in typical cabinet humidity and temperature. Installers should maintain a minimum conductor spacing of 9.5 mm and tighten each terminal screw to 0.4 Nm to preserve contact integrity. With an ingress rating of IP20, the housing is finger-safe once enclosed, and its compact form factor simplifies placement beside drives and contactors without hindering airflow.
