The 00.C6.CC1-1700 is an EtherCAT bus coupler produced by KEB within the C6 Combicontrol Bus Couplers series. Serving as the fieldbus interface between I/O modules and a real-time network, the device transfers process data from analog channels into the control layer and distributes synchronization signals downstream. In machine and plant automation, it links distributed sensors or actuators to the central PLC, allowing precise timing while keeping wiring compact. This arrangement supports coordinated control across equipment with remotely installed input and output devices.
It provides 4 analog outputs that operate at a 16-bit resolution, providing fine voltage or current steps for drives, valves, or measurement tasks. Output accuracy has a basic error of ±0.2%, while ambient temperature changes cause a deviation of only ±0.005% per kelvin, minimizing drift in precision equipment. The channels react to setpoint changes with a voltage response time of 22 µs, and the coupler transfers data across the EtherCAT segment at an EtherCAT data rate of 100 Mbit/s. Signals are synchronized by the SM/DC mechanism so each update occurs within the same distributed clock cycle. A minimum load of 1 kΩ must be maintained on voltage ranges, and short-circuit protection helps prevent damage if the required load is not maintained. Field wiring terminates on an 18-pole plug, simplifying connections to the analog channels.
Dynamic operation on current ranges has a current response time of 25 µs, while the internal supply rails draw a steady E-bus load of 150 mA from the backbone. External equipment must not apply voltage beyond the external voltage limit of 15 V to the analog pins. Connections are made through a 10-pin side-wall E-bus port that daisy-chains power and clock signals between adjacent modules.
