By bridging field I/O to a high-speed controller, it lets machine builders add scalable temperature and resistance monitoring without changing the primary PLC architecture. This unit offers 8 analog inputs that accept two-wire or three-wire resistance sensors. The channel electronics resolve each measurement to 16-bit resolution, and the sampling rate of 3.88 Hz suits slowly changing temperature values. For communication, the coupler connects to the master through 100 Mbit/s EtherCAT, allowing deterministic updates across the backplane.
