The 00.C6.CC1-0500 is an EtherCAT-based analog bus coupler developed by KEB for the C6 Combicontrol Bus Couplers series. It links four single-ended output channels to the real-time fieldbus so that programmable logic controllers can drive proportional valves, reference generators, or other process equipment without direct point-to-point wiring. The integrated ET1200 controller ASIC manages synchronization and deterministic timing across the network in factory automation environments. By placing analog output capability inside a distributed I/O station, the module reduces the need for separate interface hardware in the control cabinet.
This module provides 4 analog outputs that can be configured for either current or voltage operation. In current mode, it delivers 0-20 mA per channel into loads up to 500 Ω, and the output settles within 25 µs, which supports responsive loop control. In voltage mode, it sources 0-10 V and ±10 V into loads of at least 1 kΩ, with a settling time not exceeding 22 µs. Each channel is trimmed to a ±0.2 % basic inaccuracy so that process deviations remain low over temperature and time. The internal digital-to-analog converter works at 12-bit resolution, giving 4096 discrete steps across the selected range and supporting smooth ramp generation. Onboard circuitry also limits short-circuit current to 30 mA to help protect the connected supply.
The EtherCAT physical layer communicates at 100 Mbit/s, and backplane distribution to adjacent terminals is rated for an E-bus draw of 150 mA. Logic and output stages are powered through an 18-pole connector from a stabilized 24 V DC -20 %/+25 % source, so the device tolerates common plant voltage fluctuations. The module includes short-circuit protection, and it uses separate impedance limits for current and voltage operation to preserve output accuracy. This arrangement supports compact I/O stations that need precise analog actuation on the same deterministic network used for digital control.
