Product Description:
The FC-102P7K5T4E55H2XG is an AC variable frequency drive in the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series manufactured by Danfoss. It is intended for building automation tasks that require precise fan or pump speed regulation so that airflow, temperature, or water pressure stays within setpoints while electrical consumption is minimized. Installed between the facility’s mains supply and an induction motor, the unit modulates output frequency and voltage to match real-time load demands in air-handling units, cooling towers, and other HVAC equipment.
This drive accepts an input range of 380–480 VAC, allowing direct connection to standard industrial distribution networks. It is designed for three-phase power, so no external phase conversion is required. An enclosure rating of IP55 / Type 12 protects the internal electronics from dust and water jets, enabling placement in mechanical rooms without separate cabinets. Conducted emissions are limited by an integrated RFI filter, which helps the installation satisfy electromagnetic compatibility limits at sensitive sites. Local parameter entry and status viewing are handled through a graphical local control panel, providing menu-driven access without requiring a separate computer.
For applications that must remove motor torque during an emergency stop, the drive has no brake chopper. Dynamic braking must therefore rely on the mechanical load or suitable external braking equipment. Built-in HVAC control macros support airflow and pump control functions, simplifying configuration for common building automation tasks. Platform code 102 aligns the parameter map with other members of the FC-102 platform for consistent network integration. A dedicated Safe Stop terminal set disconnects gate signals to the insulated-gate bipolar transistors when commanded, providing a hardware path for torque removal without relying on optional braking circuitry.
