Product Description:
The FC-102P45KT4E20H2XG is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. Installed between the mains supply and an induction motor, it modulates output frequency to regulate motor speed. This control allows fans and pumps in ventilation, chilled-water, cooling-tower, and variable-air-volume systems to match changing demand while reducing unnecessary energy use.
At the motor terminals, the unit can deliver up to 60 HP of mechanical output, which corresponds to an electrical power rating of 45 kW. It accepts an input supply ranging from 380 – 480 VAC and operates with three-phase power, allowing connection to common industrial distribution networks. The chassis has IP20 chassis protection, making it suitable for installation inside a clean control cabinet that provides the necessary protection from moisture and airborne contaminants. The enclosure prevents incidental finger contact with hazardous internal components, but it is not sealed against dust or water. Upstream circuit protection, conductor sizing, and cabinet cooling should be selected according to the drive load and installation conditions.
An integrated RFI filter attenuates conducted electrical emissions that could interfere with nearby equipment or building-control networks. The front-mounted graphical local control panel provides access to operating parameters, drive status, alarms, and motor-control settings without requiring a separate interface device. The drive includes no brake chopper, so applications involving rapid deceleration or high-inertia loads must account for regenerative energy through an appropriate system design. It supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing installation on standardized back panels with suitable spacing for wiring and airflow. The variable-frequency output enables controlled acceleration and deceleration, which can reduce mechanical stress on pumps, fans, belts, and connected ductwork during normal operation.
