Product Description:
The FC-102P3K0T is an AC motor controller produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. As a variable frequency drive, it belongs to the VLT HVAC Drive product group and is installed in air-handling units, pumps, and fans to modulate motor speed so that airflow and pressure match building demand. By adjusting output voltage and frequency in real time, the unit reduces energy consumption and integrates with building management systems as a programmable component of industrial automation.
Electrical performance is centered on a continuous power rating of 3.0 kW, equivalent to 4.0 HP at the motor terminals. The inverter generates an output frequency range of 0–590 Hz, while output voltage can be regulated from 0 to 100 percent of the incoming mains voltage. For transient demands, it tolerates 110 percent for 1 minute above nominal current, and the displacement power factor remains greater than 0.98, helping keep line loading low. Acceleration and deceleration ramps are programmable from 1–3600 s, enabling gentle starts for large fans. Control terminals provide two analog inputs, one analog output, six digital inputs, two digital outputs, and two pulse inputs. These connections allow external sensors and contact closures to provide speed commands or return feedback data to the controller.
The drive is packaged in a B1 frame size, so it occupies minimal panel space while still accommodating two relays that can switch auxiliary loads or fault indicators. Both relays share the same screw-terminal strip as the field I/O, which keeps control wiring organized within the enclosure. The FC-102 controller accepts three-phase power, matching common 380–480 V distribution networks, and includes HVAC functions such as sleep mode and automatic energy optimization. It can operate with 50/60 Hz supplies, allowing use with either supported line frequency without physical modifications. This input flexibility supports installations in facilities that use different regional power systems.
