Product Description:
The FC-102P37KT4E20H2XG is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It regulates the speed of three-phase induction motors used in fans, pumps, and compressors for building ventilation and chilled-water systems. By adjusting motor operation to real-time HVAC demand, the drive can reduce unnecessary energy consumption while maintaining the required airflow, pressure, or fluid circulation.
The rated motor output is 50 hp, which corresponds to 37 kW of shaft power for sizing a compatible motor. The drive accepts a mains supply of 380 to 480 VAC, allowing direct connection to common industrial power systems without a step-up transformer. It is designed for three-phase power, which distributes current across the supply lines during normal operation. The chassis-style housing has an IP20 protection level, protecting users from contact with hazardous internal components while permitting airflow inside a control cabinet. Because the drive has no brake chopper, deceleration settings must account for regenerative energy produced by high-inertia loads. External braking equipment or a longer ramp-down time may be required when the connected motor cannot dissipate this energy safely.
An integral RFI filter attenuates conducted electrical emissions, helping the drive operate near sensitive building-management and control equipment. Parameter access is provided through a graphical local control panel, which allows motor data, operating limits, reference values, and status information to be viewed or adjusted directly at the unit. The display also provides access to alarms and operating conditions without requiring separate software for routine configuration. The drive supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, positioning the heat sink and airflow paths for standard enclosure layouts. Adequate clearance around the chassis allows cooling air to move across heat-producing components and helps prevent thermal derating during sustained operation. Auxiliary I/O and fieldbus options compatible with the FC 102 series can support integration with building automation systems and other supervisory controls.
