The FC-102P37KT4E20H1XG is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. The unit is designed for air-handling systems, pumps, and chillers that require precise motor speed control for ventilation and temperature regulation. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a variable-frequency output, allowing building and industrial automation systems to adjust airflow or coolant flow in response to changing demand. This variable-speed operation can reduce electrical consumption and limit mechanical stress caused by frequent full-speed operation.
The power section provides a continuous output of 37 kW, which corresponds to 50 hp at the driven machine and supports midsize fans or centrifugal pumps. The input bridge accepts a supply range of 380–480 VAC and is compatible with three-phase power, allowing connection to common industrial distribution systems without an external transformer. Within this voltage range, the inverter uses pulse-width modulation to regulate the frequency and voltage supplied to the connected motor. The IP20 chassis protects against accidental finger contact with internal components when the drive is installed inside a suitable control cabinet. The drive has no brake chopper, so applications that generate substantial regenerative energy during rapid deceleration require a different braking arrangement. HVAC loads that normally coast to a stop can operate without an internal dynamic braking circuit. The unit supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing it to be positioned with compatible VLT modules and standard switchgear. Adequate cabinet clearance must be maintained around the chassis so cooling air can reach the heat sink and heated air can leave the enclosure.
