Product Description:
The FC-102P2K2T4E20H2XG is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. The unit regulates the speed of induction motors used in air-handling units, chillers, and pump loops, allowing building management systems to match airflow or fluid flow to current demand and reduce energy consumption. Installed between the mains supply and the motor, the drive converts fixed-frequency line power into a regulated output that supports soft starts, dynamic speed adjustment, and motor overload protection for HVAC applications.
Electrical compatibility is based on a nominal input range of 380–480 VAC, allowing the drive to connect directly to common facility power systems without an autotransformer. The drive operates with three-phase power, which provides balanced line loading for the control electronics and insulated-gate bipolar transistor power stage. Its IP20 chassis housing keeps live components protected against finger contact while leaving the heat sink accessible for cooling inside an electrical cabinet. Local operation is available through a graphical local control panel that supports parameter entry, trend monitoring, operating status reviews, and fault readouts without requiring a separate interface device. An integrated RFI filter reduces conducted radio-frequency interference and helps the drive satisfy electromagnetic compatibility requirements commonly applied to commercial building systems.
The drive includes Safe Stop circuitry and has no brake chopper, so regenerative energy from rapid deceleration cannot be dissipated through a braking resistor connected directly to the unit. Applications with large inertial loads must therefore use suitable deceleration settings or a separate regenerative energy management arrangement. The enclosure supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing the drive to be installed in compatible panel layouts with appropriate airflow and service clearances. The controller belongs to the VLT HVAC Drive product group, which is intended for fans, pumps, compressors, and other variable-torque building systems. Its 102 series identifier associates the controller with the FC 102 platform and its corresponding parameter structure, control functions, and HVAC-oriented operating features.
