Product Description:
Danfoss manufactures the FC-102P18KT4P55H2XGXXXXSXXXXAXBXCXXXXDX variable frequency drive for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series within the VLT HVAC Drive product group. The Series 102 model is intended for building automation systems, where it adjusts fan and pump motor speeds in response to real-time load demands. Matching motor output to system demand can reduce energy consumption and limit unnecessary mechanical wear. The drive also connects supervisory controllers to medium-power motors and executes speed commands with closed-loop accuracy.
The electrical section delivers a continuous output of 18.5 kW, which corresponds to 25 HP and provides sufficient capacity for typical supply and return fans. It accepts a mains voltage range of 380–480 VAC with three-phase power, allowing direct connection to common industrial feeders without a step-down transformer. The IP55/Type 12 backplate protection helps prevent dust and water jets from reaching sensitive internal components when the drive is installed in a mechanical room. Standard cable entries simplify gland plate layout and provide organized paths for power, motor, and control wiring. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so applications requiring rapid deceleration need a separate braking solution. No A, B, or D option cards are installed, and no mains option is included, which leaves the standard connection arrangement available for the application.
User interaction is handled through the graphical local control panel, which attaches to the front of the drive for parameter entry, status monitoring, and local start and stop commands. Commercial building installations benefit from the integrated RFI filter, which suppresses conducted radio-frequency interference without requiring a separate external filter. The chassis uses a backplate for Frame A5, B, and C units with an open drive back, allowing it to fasten directly to enclosure rails without side brackets. The drive contains uncoated printed circuit boards, so it should be installed away from corrosive gases, chemical vapors, and excessive airborne moisture. Adaptation A provides the standard cable-entry arrangement used for routine wiring. The C0, C1, and C software extension positions are unpopulated. A standard language set is available through the control panel for menu navigation and parameter access.
