Product Description:
The FC-102P15KT4E20H1XGXXXXSXXXXALBXCXXXXD0 is an AC variable-frequency drive built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. In building automation systems, it regulates induction-motor speed so air handlers, pumps, and condensers can respond to changing thermal demand without mechanical throttling. Installing the inverter in a cabinet near the associated controllers provides electronic regulation of motor torque and speed. This arrangement can reduce energy consumption while maintaining stable airflow and chilled-water circulation under varying loads.
The inverter delivers 15 kW, equivalent to 20 HP, at the motor terminals and receives power from a 380–480 VAC supply. It is designed for three-phase power, so industrial switchboards can supply it without phase-conversion equipment. Standard cable entries are provided under Adaptation A to support field wiring through the designated enclosure openings. Normal cabinet mounting on A, B, or C frames positions the heat sink for effective through-panel cooling. The installed PROFINET MCA 120 interface provides direct communication with compatible automation and building-management networks. This interface carries operating commands, reference values, status information, and diagnostic data between the drive and the supervisory controller.
The drive has an IP20 chassis enclosure intended for protected indoor installation where the surrounding cabinet prevents exposure to water and large foreign objects. Conducted emissions are limited by an integrated RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, which helps reduce electrical interference on the incoming supply. A brake chopper is not included, so deceleration must rely on the motor’s inherent losses or suitable external braking equipment. The D Option adds an MCB-107 24 V DC backup, which keeps the control electronics operating during brief interruptions or dips in the main supply. Users enter parameters and review operating data through a graphical local control panel. The standard language pack supports menu navigation and the display of drive messages. The printed circuit board is uncoated, so the surrounding cabinet should protect the electronics from condensation, conductive dust, and corrosive airborne contaminants. The safe-stop brake function is not included in this configuration.
