As an AC motor controller for ventilation, pumping, and chiller systems, it adjusts induction motor speed to match changing building demand and reduce energy use in industrial automation. The unit is a drive rather than a standalone motor, so it is intended to regulate external motor operation instead of generating motion on its own.
