The unit regulates the speed of induction motors that power supply fans, exhaust fans, pumps, and compressors in building automation systems. By converting fixed-frequency utility power into a controllable output, it allows building management systems to maintain precise temperature and pressure setpoints while reducing energy use and mechanical wear. Designed for cabinet mounting, the drive provides communication, protection, and power features suited to air-handling applications in commercial and industrial facilities.

Adaptation A provides standard cable entries for gland installation, while Adaptation B leaves the enclosure unmodified. The installed PROFIBUS DP MCA 101 option supports cyclic control and diagnostic communication with compatible PLC platforms. Rated output supports motors up to 110 kW (150 HP), providing sufficient capacity for large fans, pumps, and compressors. The input section accepts line voltages of 380–480 VAC from three-phase power supplies. An internal brake chopper is not included, so external braking equipment must handle regenerated energy when rapid deceleration is required. The printed circuit assemblies have a coated PCB finish that protects conductive paths from airborne moisture and contaminants. Harmonic filters and disconnect devices can be installed separately when required by the electrical system.

The D Option includes an MCB-107 24 V DC backup module that keeps the control section energized during short utility power interruptions. This backup helps preserve fan ramp commands and active alarm information while the primary input is unavailable. The enclosure has an IP21/Type 1 rating with a mains shield, providing touch-safe protection for installation in indoor electrical rooms. Its shielded arrangement helps separate incoming power connections from accessible areas inside the cabinet. The standard language pack provides multilingual menu text for drive setup and routine operation. Network access through PROFIBUS also allows the building controller to retrieve operating status and diagnostic data without requiring direct access to the drive keypad.
