Product Description:
The 136X0720 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It adjusts the speed of centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors to maintain pressure or temperature setpoints while reducing energy usage. It is intended for HVAC duties in air-handling systems and pumping installations where motor speed must track changing load conditions. The unit belongs to the 102 series and is suited for installation in normal A, B, or C-frame control cabinets that supply three-phase motors.
Electrically, the drive operates from a mains supply of 380-480 VAC on three-phase power systems. Because the enclosure has an IP20 / Chassis rating, it relies on the surrounding panel for dust and touch protection. The chassis-style enclosure is intended for protected cabinet installation rather than standalone mounting. Network connectivity can be expanded with the Modbus TCP MCA 122 option, enabling direct BACnet gateway linking when required. Local relay outputs are added through the factory-fitted MCB-105 Relay Card, removing the need for external interface modules. These additions support networked control and auxiliary signaling within the same cabinet layout. The design omits a brake chopper, so regenerated energy must be dissipated in the motor or line. There is no mains input disconnect option, and the printed circuit boards are uncoated for cabinet-air cooling. The drive uses the standard software package for this series.
Control features are supported by the MCB-117 real-time clock option, which allows scheduled start-stop sequences independent of the building management system. This allows time-based operation when centralized commands are unavailable or intentionally simplified. EMC compliance inside metal cabinets is assisted by the built-in RFI filter. Parameters are monitored through the graphical local control panel, which presents text in the standard language pack and stores settings in removable memory. Field wiring is brought in through standard cable entries, simplifying conduit alignment and maintaining clearances inside the cabinet. Because the unit lacks motion controller extensions, it remains focused on variable-speed HVAC control.
