Product Description:
The 135X4138 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It regulates motor speed to match the real-time airflow or water flow required by building ventilation, cooling, and chiller systems. The drive is installed between the line supply and a compatible fan or pump motor, where it produces an adjustable frequency and voltage waveform. This output allows building automation systems to regulate climate-control equipment without relying entirely on mechanical throttling.
The unit provides a maximum motor output of 11 kW for compatible induction motors used in commercial and institutional HVAC systems. It accepts an input voltage range of 380–480 VAC and operates with three-phase power. The input configuration allows connection to a suitable industrial supply without a separate phase converter. Its enclosure has an IP55 / Type 12 rating, protecting internal electronics against dust and low-pressure water spray in mechanical rooms. The drive has no brake chopper, so external equipment must manage dynamic braking energy when the connected load requires rapid deceleration. The printed circuit board is uncoated, making the unit best suited to indoor locations that are protected from corrosive moisture and chemical contaminants.
A factory-installed mains disconnect provides a local means of isolating incoming power before service work begins. Conducted electrical interference is reduced by the built-in RFI filter, which helps limit noise transmitted back through the supply connection. Operating information, parameter menus, and status messages are available through the graphical local control panel. The panel also provides direct access to motor settings and drive diagnostics without requiring a separate display device. Communication with a building management system is supported through BACnet MCA 109, allowing operating commands and status data to pass across a compatible BACnet network. The remaining option slots are empty, and the drive uses the standard HVAC configuration associated with this model.
