The 134X7410 is an AC frequency converter produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It provides induction-motor speed control for ventilation systems, chillers, pumps, and other motor-driven building equipment. By adjusting motor output to current operating demand, the converter helps regulate airflow and water circulation without forcing connected equipment to run continuously at full speed. Building automation systems can use this variable-speed capability to respond to changing temperatures, pressure requirements, and occupancy levels while reducing unnecessary energy consumption and mechanical wear.

The converter accepts a supply range of 380–480 VAC through a three-phase power connection, allowing it to operate from common industrial electrical systems without an additional transformer. A factory-installed RFI filter suppresses conducted electrical emissions and helps prevent the drive from interfering with nearby control or communication equipment. Local configuration and status monitoring are available through the Graphical Local Control Panel mounted at the front of the enclosure. Its graphical interface provides direct access to operating values, alarm information, and adjustable motor-control parameters. The available extension slots are empty, so application-specific input, output, and control functions must be provided through the converter’s standard interfaces or external equipment.

The drive is supplied without a brake chopper, so rapid motor stopping cannot dissipate regenerated energy through a connected braking resistor. Controlled ramp-down should be used where the mechanical load permits it, while external stopping equipment may be necessary for applications that require faster deceleration. The converter uses uncoated printed circuit boards, making installation in a clean, dry indoor electrical room important for dependable operation. The enclosure should be protected from condensation, conductive dust, corrosive vapor, and other airborne contaminants that could accumulate on exposed electronic surfaces. Additional low-emission hardware for residential installations is not included, so the drive is better suited to commercial or industrial HVAC systems where the installed filtering and surrounding electrical arrangement satisfy applicable electromagnetic compatibility requirements.
