The 134N8586 is a variable-frequency converter from Danfoss in the VLT FC 102 HVAC Drives series. It is used in ventilation and pumping systems where closed-loop speed control helps reduce energy consumption while maintaining steady airflow or water flow in commercial and industrial buildings. The converter adjusts motor frequency and voltage to match load demand, which supports quieter operation and lower mechanical stress in ducted air and hydronic circulation systems.

This model accepts 380-480 VAC input and operates on three-phase power, so it can connect directly to common building power systems. The enclosure carries an IP20 chassis rating, which means it should be installed inside a suitable electrical cabinet where live sections remain protected from accidental contact. For networked control, the drive includes an EtherNet/IP MCA 121 option card for cyclic communication with PLC-based automation systems. Local setup and status review are handled through a graphical local control panel, which uses a backlit display and keypad navigation. An integrated RFI filter helps reduce conducted interference on the supply lines when the drive is installed near other control equipment.

Wiring is arranged through standard cable entries, and the housing is prepared for normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames. The drive comes with no brake chopper, so braking energy from fast deceleration must be handled externally rather than by an internal circuit. It uses the standard language pack and the Series Identifier 102 feature set. The PCB is not conformally coated, the B, C, C0, C1, and D option slots are empty, and there is no separate line disconnect installed. This arrangement keeps the configuration centered on core HVAC control functions while leaving space for external accessories when they are needed.
